Wild Factory Interior Option: 1972 AMC Javelin Pierre Cardin
This 1972 AMC Javelin (chassis A2C707P230964) is described as one of 1,276 Pierre Cardin option equipped cars built that year, and the seller suggests that its 13k recorded miles are accurate. Though described as largely untouched, we gather that the exterior has been resprayed, though the impressively kept and seriously funky cabin is said to remain original. A 360ci V8/automatic equipped car, the seller says it “runs and drives as a 1972 Javelin should,” noting no modifications apart from a Flowmaster equipped exhaust with factory tips. Find it here on eBay in Medina, Ohio for $24,500 OBO.
Forest Service Surplus: 1990 Jeep Cherokee Two-Door 5-Speed
This 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4×4 (VIN 1J4FJ27L6LL224616) was recently offered as government surplus, and following purchase by the seller has seen subsequent mechanical sorting including new shocks, brakes, fluids and more. It looks to have been used by the Forest Service, and is somewhat surprisingly equipped with A/C–the system will need work, though. A 5-speed and classic 4.0 liter straight-six round out the package, and these two-door variants are always cool. Find it here on eBay in Spokane, Washington with no reserve.
16K Mile Original: RHD 1972 NSU Prinz in Missouri
This 1972 NSU Prinz (chassis 0521021637) is described by its seller as being in very good original condition with a genuine 16,565 miles from new. A RHD UK market car, the seller purchased it from the family of its original owner in 1987, and relocated with them across the Atlantic some years ago. It’s seen little use since, but sounds to be in good working order–the ad claiming that needs are limited to a new shift bushing that currently prevents the top two gears from being engaged. The car looks very nicely preserved, with just enough of a light patina to lend some weight to originality claims. Find it here on eBay in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for $10k OBO.
Depreciation Special: 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
This 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage (VIN SCFBB03B87GC03627) is a preferably equipped 6-speed manual example with a claimed 57,000 miles. These baby Astons were designed to compete head to head with the 911, and they sound as good as they look. This one isn’t offered with a ton of info, but seems to be in good shape and looks great in black over black. Find it here on Craigslist in Oakland, California for $41k.
