Demo Derby Refugee: $2500 1974 Dodge Monaco Two-Door Hardtop
This 1974 Dodge Monaco (chassis DM23M4D155976) was saved from death by demolition derby and has since been taken on as the seller’s project. A somewhat scarce 400 big block car, the seller says it runs very well, though the 727 TorqueFlite auto has a weak reverse and won’t shift into top (third) gear. Rust is said to be minimal as well, with floors and frame described as “terrific.” All lights and gauges are in working order, and though definitely not the cleanest car around, it’s got loads of personality, and we’re glad that it escaped the derby. Find it here on eBay in La Crosse, Wisconsin with a $2,500 BIN.
Super Scarce V-Drive 4×4: VEMCO Equipped 1979 Ford E350
This 1979 Ford E350 is said to be one of 250 equipped with VEMCO V-Drive, an interesting four 4×4 system in which drive to the independently sprung front wheels is via two separate driveshafts–hence the “V” name. The van itself will need work–it’s dingy and tired looking, but as the seller points out, these VEMCO equipped trucks are very rare, and at the very least this one’s drivetrain should be retained and swapped into another shell. Find it here on Craigslist in Renton, Washington for $7k.
Could be Sweet: $4K 1983 Bitter SC Project
This 1983 Bitter SC is a strange and rarely seen GT car based on Opel Senator underpinnings. One of 461 built, there were also 22 sedans and five convertibles. This one’s not currently running and has no title, but the seller sounds to be working on the latter issue. Though undoubtedly a little bit scruffy, the car does look complete, and its oh-so 80’s ruched leather interior seems to have held up pretty nicely, too. Find it here on Craigslist in Litchfield, Connecticut for $4k OBO.
Laguna Blue 2.0 Liter: Restored 1975 Porsche 914
This 1975 Porsche 914 (chassis 4752910325) is a late rubber bumper car that’s undergone what the seller calls a “95% complete restoration,” with work comprising fitment of many new mechanical and cosmetic items. Said to be entirely free of rust and fitted with refurbished A/C, it looks very well detailed throughout, but will need a tuneup prior to adding any long distance miles due to sitting for the past three years. Find it here on eBay in Louisville, Kentucky with no reserve and fast bidding.
