Ex-Trans-Am Racer: Big Block 1974 Chevrolet Corvette
This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette is presented as a former Trans-Am racer campaigned from 1977-1980. Wearing a vintage Greenwood widebody, it’s a very dramatic looking car with wild graphics and expansive fender flares covering large-by-huge Avon slicks–fourteen inches wide in back. Restored in 2012, power comes from a 476ci BBC backed by a Jerico 4-speed, and the car has most recently competed at Sebring and VIR. SVRA logbooks are included. Find it here on eBay in Rock Hill, South Carolina with reserve not met.
ITB Equipped 16V Swap: 1982 Volkswagen Caddy
This 1982 Volkswagen Caddy has been heavily customized with widened fenders, an all new interior, very high quality bodywork, an individual throttle body equipped 16V twin cam, and much more detailed below and in the ad. Street Legal Group B: 1985 MG Metro 6R4
This 1985 MG Metro 6R4 sounds to be a legitimate factory built Group B rally machine, and the seller notes some interesting race history. Powered by a rear/mid-mounted quad cam V6 loosely based on the Cosworth DFV (and later used in turbocharged form in the Jaguar XJ220), the seller says this one’s a 2.5 liter short stroke version that will rev to nearly 11,000 RPM. Power isn’t noted, but with four wheel drive traction, short gearing and very little weight, the car should be a little rocket. Tough Kids Only: 1953 Dodge Power Wagon School Bus
This 1953 Dodge Power Wagon (chassis B4PW126) is an unusual period school bus conversion carried out by Gillig Brothers of Hayward, California. The seller says that very few were made, and though currently fitted with a 300 cubic inch Ford straight-six, the original 230ci flathead six is included as well. All seats are still equipped, too. Find it here on Craigslist in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for $9,850.
