Aluminum & Steel Camper Project: 1935 Graham Housecar
This 1935 Graham Housecar is a strange and virtually unknown early recreational vehicle that has reportedly been for sale in upstate New York since around 2010. The engine and transmission are long gone and the interior has been removed, though a GMC chassis and drivetrain are included. Restoration will certainly be a big undertaking, but we hope it finds an eccentric old camper enthusiast with the right set of skills to put it back together at a high standard. Find it here on Craigslist in Livonia, New York for $3,500.
Back on the Market: Lovely 5-Speed 1975 Fiat 130 Coupe
9/28/2016 Update: Eleven months later almost to the day, and this 1975 Fiat 130 (chassis D0004097) coupe has returned to the market, this time with a fixed price. Condition looks beautiful throughout, and the seller claims three owners, no rust, no accidents, all books, and excellent cosmetics and mechanicals. These big, angular, but elegant Pininfarina GT’s were made in small numbers (see the previous story below for exact production numbers), and are known to have offered very good ride and handling characteristics with a revvy, enthusiastic and musical V6. Find this one here on Craigslist in Hawthorne, California for $21,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Edward S. for this submission.
One of 15: William Towns-Restyled 1972 Lotus Europa Twin Cam
This 1972 Lotus Europa Twin Cam (chassis 1395P) wears an unusual and reportedly very rare body by Bristol-based GS Cars, LTD. According to the ad, Colin Chapman gave his full blessing for the company (a Lotus dealer themselves) to offer re-bodied cars with Lotus badging, and it’s believed that only 15 were built. Five are known to remain, and this example retains its original engine and sounds to be in excellent, road-ready condition. Sale is accompanied by extensive documentation, and the car is said to have appeared in a recent Classic & Sports Car article. Find it here at H and H who will oversee its auction at the Duxford Imperial War Museum in Cambridge, England on December 10th, 2016. Hammer estimates range from 15k-18k GBP (~$19,500-$23,500 USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Good Bones: 1969 TVR Vixen S2 Running Project
This 1969 TVR Vixen S2 (chassis LVX14314) was garage parked from 1992 until very recently, and though dusty with a few relatively minor cosmetic flaws, the seller says it’s complete and rock solid underneath. The original Ford Kent four cylinder will run on starter fluid, but the tank will need to be flushed of old fuel. Additionally, all electrics are claimed to be in working order, and sale includes lots of documentation and parts like a dual carb intake manifold. Overall, the car looks quite serviceable, and the seller believes it could probably be made roadworthy with a good weekend’s worth of work. Find it here on eBay in Potterville, Michigan with fast bidding but reserve unmet. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
