First Year Factory 426/4-Speed: 1966 Dodge Charger
This 1966 Dodge Charger (chassis XP29H61219316) is said to retain its original 426ci hemi V8 and 4-speed trans, the seller further claiming that it remained with its original owner until 2014. Restored sometime in the mid-1990’s to what’s described as factory spec, condition still looks great, and Torq-Thrusts and an engine dress-up kit sound to have been added in-period. Purchased to go along with the original owner’s wife’s blue hemi/automatic example, that car is also said to be on offer by the same seller, though appears to have already been sold. Find the 4-speed here on eBay in Palm Desert, California with a $79,500 BIN.
68K Miles: 1991 ASC Infiniti M30 Convertible
This 1991 Infiniti M30 is a rare car, as they never sold in big numbers, and most have long disappeared from the roads. This one is said to have 68k miles, and seems to be very well preserved with glossy paint, nice leather, and sharp looking trim. Production numbers are typically believed to have been around 12,000 total units, split in half between coupes and convertibles, the latter of which were converted for Nissan by American Sunroof Co. (ASC). They’ve garnered a small cult following over the years, and it’s easy to picture this one in the garage of a dedicated Nissan enthusiast. Find it here on Craigslist in Pompano Beach, Florida for $6,800.
Ideal Overlander Platform: Ex-Dakar Renault 6×6
This 2004 Renault Kerax is described as a factory modified 6×6 support vehicle that was built for the Dakar Rally. Loaded with specialized equipment like 400 liter fuel cells and dual shock suspension, the truck looks incredibly purposeful and could provide a good platform on which to build an overlander rig. Find it here on eBay in La Jolla, California with no reserve.
Bay Area Barn Find: RHD 1970 Jensen Interceptor SII
This 1970 Jensen Interceptor SII (chassis 1255111) is a right hand drive model said to have been stored in a Bay Area barn for the past 20 years. Offered as a project, the car looks rough with a few rusty spots, and it’s missing a few parts as well, however it does retain a correct, free-turning Chrysler 383, and sale includes “many new parts worth thousands.” Find it here on eBay in Alameda, California with reserve not met.
