Matching-Numbers Project: Rusty 1963 Porsche 356
This 1963 Porsche 356 is a non-running project that was found in a barn in Tennessee where it had been sitting since the early ’80s. It sounds like the car was purchased with the intent of being brought back, but plans have since changed. It’s said to be numbers-matching and complete excluding pistons and jugs, and though rough, it may not be terminally so Find it here on Craigslist in Indianapolis, Indiana for $25k.
Dealer Installed Turbo: 1986 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4×4 Diesel
This 1986 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 (VIN 1GCGK24JXGJ122330) has rare options like a 6.2 liter turbodiesel V8, 4-speed manual and a long flareside bed. The seller also notes original paint and interior, while the chassis is reportedly free of rust. Mileage is given as just under 60k, and the truck looks to have appropriate wear for its age and recorded use. Its unusual specification is certainly interesting, and the description seems to offer a fair account of what to expect in person. Find it here on eBay in Burbank, California with reserve not met.
Topolino e il Disco Volante: 1950 Fiat 500 Trevisan
This car started life as a 1950 Fiat 500 Topolino, or at least as its chassis and running gear. Fitted shortly thereafter with striking aluminum bodywork by carrozzeria Trevisan, the seller says a small handful were made for racing. This is the first we’ve seen or heard of Trevisan, and the car shows more than a hint of Touring’s Alfa Disco Volante, despite pre-dating that famous design by a few years. It’s quite pretty from angles, and at the very least interesting from others, but what’s key is claimed Mille Miglia eligibility–not typically found at this relatively low end of the market. Fast Orange: SR20DET Powered 1971 Datsun 510
This 1971 Datsun 510 is a nicely modified, SR20DET-powered example equipped with a Garrett 2871 turbocharger and other upgrades, a few highlights which include 280Z front suspension, authentic BRE fiberglass fenders, and a Subaru-sourced LSD. Condition looks nice in photos, and the seller claims that the car is free of rust and has never been in an accident. Sale even includes the original sales agreement and blue plates. Find it here on Craigslist in San Diego, California for $22,750.
