One of 97 W8/6-Speed 4Motion Wagons: 2003 Volkswagen Passat
This 2003 Volkswagen Passat (VIN WVWLK63B93E462961) is claimed to be one of only 97 W8-powered, 6-speed 4Motion wagons sold in the US. Mileage is given as 106k, and the seller describes the car as being in nice cosmetic and mechanical shape with a clean interior, no door dings and a healthy list of recent maintenance. Find it here on eBay Brentwood, Tennessee for $12,900 OBO.
Non-Letter 452/727 Driver: 1963 Chrysler 300 Coupe
This 1963 Chrysler 300 is described as a very solid New Mexico car, though it will require rust repair in a few places like the trunk. It does look like a good driver as-is though, wearing old, faded paint on top of what looks like straight sheet metal. A non-letter model packing a bored 440 with a few other tricks, the seller says it’s “hysterically fast” for such a large car. Find it here on Craigslist in Albuquerque, New Mexico for $7,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Lunker for this submission.
Matching-Numbers Garage Find: 1964 Porsche 356 C
This 1964 Porsche 356 C is described as a “barn find,” recently languishing in a Hollywood garage since 1980. Very few details are offered about the condition and earlier history of the car, but it is said to be matching-numbers, and photos show that the cabin and exterior are largely complete and very serviceable as-is. Find it here on Craigslist in Los Angeles, California for $40k. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric B. for this submission.
OEM 5-Speed Swap: 1996 Jaguar XJR
This 1996 Jaguar XJR looks and sounds like a good driver, though we’re most interested in its supercharged straight-six and 5-speed drivetrain combination. It’s not 100% clear in the ad, but it sounds to have received an OEM style Getrag manual swap sometime in the past 20 years, and though cosmetically the car could stand to be detailed, it sounds to be ready to drive as-is. Find it here on Hemmings in Chicago, Illinois for $15k firm. Special thanks to BaT reader Clinton H. for this submission.
