One of 500 Worldwide: 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series
This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG (VIN WDBTJ77H28F236610) is a limited production Black Series car featuring factory DTM-inspired flared bodywork, a more potent, naturally aspired, big displacement V8, and fully adjustable suspension. These cars retailed for around $130k new, and roughly 500 were built–350 for the US market. Though flawed in some ways, the model was generally very well received, and someday their low build numbers and wild, tail-out everywhere character are sure to make for a cult following. This one looks well kept with 47k claimed miles, and we can’t imagine the depreciation curve dipping much further. Find it here on Craigslist Wylie, Texas for $53,900.
Pearl White Turbo: 1988 Lotus Esprit
This 1988 Lotus Esprit is a a turbocharged example with 50k on the odometer, finished in what the seller refers to as pearl white over a black and gray multi-tone leather interior. The description notes no known mechanical issues, and that the engine reportedly fires up and runs without issue. Find it here on Craigslist in Federal Way, Washington for $16,500.
Mil-Spec Hummer Wheels: 1970 Ford Bronco
This 1970 Ford Bronco looks like a junior monster truck sitting on Mil-spec Hummer H1 wheels and 37″ run-flat tires, a look that works surprisingly well and won’t likely be seen anywhere else. Power comes from a rebuilt 302, and the seller further notes power steering, all new wiring, axle seals and more. Find it here on Craigslist in Los Angeles, California for $16k. Special thanks to BaT reader Charles B. for this submission
Two for $800: 1968 & 1970 Subaru 360 Rustbuckets
This pair of Subaru 360 projects is offered as a package, though the seller is also willing to break them up for a slightly higher per-piece asking price. Both are heavily rusted, likely beyond the point of repair. Lots of glass, trim, and other pieces including their little two-stroke engines are intact however, and at the very least one could probably put together a fun little beach buggy out of the two–we’ve seen a few similar builds before, and there was even one at JCCS earlier this year. Find them here on Craigslist near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for $500 a piece or $800 the pair. Special thanks to BaT reader Ida V. for this submission.
