Toyota Twin Cam Swapped: 1962 Facel Vega Facellia
1/2/2017 Update: 18 months later, this Facel is now being offered in California with a black plate affixed and no mention of a Toyota powerplant! The paint, exhaust, driver seatbelt, and column mounted accessories seem to make this the exact same car. Find it here on Craigslist in Napa, California for $21k. Special thanks to BaT reader Alexander T. for this update!
From 6/28/2015:
This 1962 Facel-Vega Facellia (chassis F2B439A) features a swapped 2.0L Toyota 18RG twin cam four and matching 5-speed manual transmission, the former of which runs well and boasts low miles. Said to be a rust and damage-free driver, the car’s interior will need cosmetic attention and paint is sun faded in various spots. Some miscellaneous spares are also included though the car is said to be complete. Find it here on Hemmings in Santa Fe, New Mexico for $20k or best offer.
All-Terrain Exotic: 1955 Lamborghini DL25 Tractor
This 1955 Lamborghini DL25 was an agricultural forefather of the wild, winged supercars of today, and though obviously utilitarian by design, they are arguably some of the best-looking vintage farm machines around. The 2.5 liter, vertical twin diesel is covered in the same blue paint as the rest of the lower body, and the photo below appears to show it running, which is a good sign. Find it here on Autocherish in Yorkshire, UK for 30,000 GBP (-$36,800 USD today)
690HP Touring: G-Power 2007 BMW M5 Touring SMG
This BMW G5 V10 Hurricane RS has been modified by G-Power to make use of their own SK Plus single supercharger kit which is comprised of an ASA blower that nets output of 690 HP with 4.4 PSI of boost. This example is long-roof touring finished in rare Sepang Bronze Metallic with a panoramic sunroof and other cool options like a heads-up display, Alcantara dash and headliner, soft-close doors and heated seats all around. Full documentation is said to be included along with the original exhaust system which has been replaced by pipes with manual cutouts. Find it here on AutoScout24 in for €65,900 (~$69k today).
Turbo Touring: 1989 BMW 325i Station Wagon
This 1989 BMW 325i was reportedly restored from the ground up, a process the seller breaks down through a few details lists in the listing description. Work includes a rebuilt engine which has been turbocharged, extensive rust repair, a full respray, a refreshed interior and a dialed in suspension. The seller also ensures everything was performed to a high standard, with all torque specs followed and new clips and fasteners all around. Some may find a few things to nitpick about here and there, but overall this looks like an incredibly clean build that lands well on the preferable side of the E30 spectrum. Find it here on Craigslist in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for $20k.
