One of 11: 1964 Apollo 3500 GT Convertible
This 1964 Apollo 3500 GT is a rare convertible model of the hand-built, aluminum-bodied cars made in Oakland, California from 1962 to 1965. Only 90 of all varieties were built, and these drop tops are even scarcer with the seller quoting 11 made. A factory aluminum Buick V8 powered-car, it looks to be in very nice shape and we’re surprised that the chop-top doesn’t ruin the coupe’s pretty lines. Find it here on eBay in Greenville, South Carolina for $478k OBO.
Rare Pair: 1959 Dodge Coronet Ambulance and 1959 Dodge D-500
This 1959 Dodge Coronet is a rare Memphian ambulance originally built for military use–this article offers more info on this car and the Memphis Coach Company. Equipped with a free-turning 361ci V8 and push-button auto, the cars appears restorable and is sold as a title project. Adjacent to the ambulance is another Dodge that the seller claims is a D-500, despite also incorrectly identifying it as a Coronet–while the two share the same body, our research leads us to believe D-500s were only available as Custom Royals. A 383/auto equipped car, it’s also non-running as the engine is stuck and the heads have been removed but are included, though intake and carb(s) are both missing, as is quite a bit of exterior trim. Find the pair on Jalopy Journal in Golden, Colorado for $4,200 a piece–the ambulance here and the D-500 here.
5 Star Cab: “Big Job” 1952 Ford F7 Truck
This 1952 Ford F7 is described a rust free example of the company’s “Big Jobs” series of trucks. In the second year of this body style, the truck boasts the first use of Ford’s new overhead valve V8–in this case a 279ci Lincoln Y-Block–and is not equipped with the venerable Flathead (though F1-F5’s were as long as the Flathead six wasn’t ordered.) Boasting approximately 60k miles on the odometer, you can find it here on Jalopy Journal in Leonardtown, Maryland for $3,500.
Factory Ducati Power: 941 Mile 1974 Condor A350 Swiss Army Bike
This 1974 Condor A350 is a Ducati single-powered, Swiss-engineered and built bike designed specifically for military use. Said to be in outstanding, all-original condition, the bike has only 941 miles from new and includes all original equipment including a partially-filled, hand-written army maintenance log, military-issue wool blanket and service rifle. Find it here on Craigslist in Fitchburg, Massachusetts for $5,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Jason M. for this submission.
