55 Plus MPH: Flathead V8 Swapped 1949 Ford 8N Tractor
This 1949 Ford 8N is no longer fitted with a familiar fN-series four cylinder, instead sporting a modified flathead V8. Said to be good for a mind-bending and tooth-rattling 55 miles per hour, this up-engined tractor may be one of the most potentially terrifying vehicles we’ve ever featured. Find it here on eBay in Selbyville, Delaware with no reserve.
500ci Cadillac Big Block Swap: 1978 AMC Pacer
This 1978 AMC Pacer looks all stock on the outside, but a massive 500ci Cadillac V8 has been crammed into the engine bay originally designed to accommodate a new Wankel rotary engine. Condition looks to be pretty good inside and out, and the swap itself appears to have been done properly. Find it here on Craigslist in Louisville, Kentucky for $6k.
Serial Number One: 1977 BMW M1 Prototype
This 1977 BMW M1 (chassis BMW 26E/1) is claimed to be the very first prototype built, and has been sitting in what’s described as a “dry barn” for 30 years. Now in need of full restoration, the car was converted to Procar spec at some point, though the seller seems to believe that it could be returned to original road car spec. Find it here on eBay in Bad Aibling, Germany with reserve not met.
Two Liter Tax Break Version: 9K Mile 1980 Maserati Merak 2000 GT
This 1980 Maserati Merak (chassis 202188) is a rare Italian market 2.0 liter tax break version that’s said to have been imported to the US sometime in the 1990s. Further claimed to be one of 200 built, the seller says it’s never been crashed, and though no used much in the past 10 years, the seller says it starts “effortlessly” anyway. Find it here on eBay in Champlain, New York for $69k OBO.
