Ex-Postal Service Project: Rare RHD 1961 Jeep FJ3 Fleetvan
This 1961 Jeep FJ3 Fleetvan is a right hand-drive example built for the US Postal service. Nearly all of these interesting vans disappeared shortly after decommissioning, and though this one’s rusty, the seller says there’s relatively little rot. Sold without an engine or transmission, we think a very mild but nice-sounding small block V8 would be perfect–if it fit. Find it here on Craigslist in Chattanooga, Tennessee for $4k. 318 Swapped Runner: 1971 Jaguar E-type SIII 2+2 Project
This 1971 Jaguar E-type is a needy example of what’s arguably the least desirable model built, a late production SIII 2+2 coupe. It’s still an E-type though, and deserves better than being left to rot. This one has had a Plymouth 318 swapped in at some point, and though still running it will need brake work at a minimum prior to being drivable. Open Air V12 Pumper: 1951 American LaFrance
This 1951 American LaFrance firetruck is said to retain its original gasoline V12 and looks to be in nice shape, the seller further noting good but perhaps incomplete sounding service history. Jay Leno is pretty enthusiastic about his ’41 AFL V12 pumper, but this one really stands out with a distinct bug-eyed, cab-forward and open-top design. Factory Twin Cam Bus: Restored 1961 Alfa Romeo Autotutto
This 1961 Alfa Romeo Autotutto (chassis AR*186154) is not the first Alfa van featured on BaT, but does look to be the nicest. Recently restored and powered by the iconic Alfa twin cam four, it might not dance through the corners but should rev out really nicely.
