V8 Veloce: Hacked-Up 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider
This 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce (chassis 1495F03305) has been heavily modified in order to accommodate an SBC 350 and matching GM automatic. Described as an amateur build, a previous owner completed the work about 20 years ago. The seller says that the car runs very well, but admits that unspecified Toyota-sourced discs and drums are inadequate and that it will need new tires as well. We’re not necessarily endorsing this kind of thing, but similar vintage Euro roadster/Detroit mash-ups have been built with better results, and this one may present an opportunity for someone with the right mindset and skills. Find it here on eBay in Little Rock, Arkansas with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Lucas H. for this submission.
Brazilian Alpine: 1962 Willys Interlagos Sold New in the US
This 1962 Willys Interlagos is listed without a serial number, but is said to be the 24th Berlineta out of ~800 total Alpine A108-based cars built under license in Brazil. The seller also claims that it was sold new in San Francisco, adding that it is currently one of three in the US. Ownership history is detailed in the ad, and apart from a color change, condition is described as largely original. Find it here on eBay in North Hollywood, California with reserve not met.
Nicely Kept Driver: 1988 Volvo 245 DL 5-Speed
This 1988 Volvo 245 DL (VIN YV1AX8852J1796626) is a claimed two-owner example that has benefited from a recent freshening consisting of many new driveline and suspension components. The five-door brick is claimed to start and run very well, and despite having spent the majority of its life in the upper mid-west, it looks pretty nice in photos. Three pedals, roll-up windows, and third-row seating round out a nice mix of minimalist options. Find it here on eBay in Chicago, Illinois with no reserve.
Sweet Spot Bubble Top: Original Interior 1959 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday
This 1959 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday two-door hardtop (chassis 599M13068) retains its original interior in what looks like nice, softly worn condition. The ad describes a previous high-end and factory-correct respray, and adds that bodywork is laser-straight. Further said to run and drive exceptionally well, all its many power accessories are in working order. Find it here on Craigslist in Apex, North Carolina for $29,900. Special thanks to BaT reader Jason S. for this submission.
