MPG Champion: Twin Remote Turbo V8 1988 Chevrolet Sprint
This 1988 Chevrolet Sprint runs a full custom square tube frame incorporating the original, Suzuki-built body. Its factory three-cylinder has been ditched for a nearly 1,000 HP, twin remote turbocharged, 402ci, all-aluminum, dry sump V8, and incredibly, the car remains street legal. Covered briefly by Hot Rod magazine in a previous issue, it’s the best use of a Sprint we’ve ever seen. Find it here at Autobarn Classics in Concord, North Carolina for $45k.
Rare Aluminum Camper: 1962 Wells-Chevrolet
This 1962 Wells is an unusual aluminum-bodied, Chevrolet-based motorhome that appears to be in nice, easily restorable condition. Said to run well, it’s nicely equipped with a stove, fridge, shower, and washing machine, and the seller’s now abandoned plans to polish bodywork to an Airstream-like shine sound like a good plan. Find it here on Craigslist in Sheridan, Wyoming for $10,500. Special thanks to BaT reader PGN for this submission.
700 HP Windsor/5-Speed 1963 Ford Falcon
This 1963 Ford Falcon has given up its original straight-six and three-on-the-tree for a big 700 HP Windsor and Tremec 5-speed. Work was completed by the seller and some friends, and build quality looks excellent throughout. Though the wheels, huge rear rubber, high-rise hood, and a few other details give the game away, the car is still very clean and about as stock-looking as possible. Find it here on eBay in Howell, Michigan with reserve not met.
M5 Killer: Unrestored 1982 BMW Alpina B7 Turbo
This 1982 Alpina B7 Turbo (VIN WBACJ7102B6578826) is a very nice example from the final year of normal production for this E12 chassis car. Like many Alpinas, this car spent much of its life in Japan, and looks excellent inside and out. With 300 HP and 340 lb. ft., it should be very quick even by modern standards. Find it here on eBay in Oldenzaal, Netherlands with reserve not met.
