Well Preserved Original: 1974 GMC Motorhome
This 1974 GMC motorhome (chassis TZE064V101062) has a few issues that need to be ironed out, but is said to remain highly original and in very good condition overall. These coaches are interesting not only for their styling, but especially their big block FWD drivetrain, adapted from the one used in the Olds Toronado. This one does indeed look to be very worthy of further preservation, as it’s among relatively few remaining that haven’t been restored with modern fittings. Find it here on eBay in Rincon, Georgia with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader PGN for this submission.
Twin Plug Flathead: 40’s Style 1932 Ford Roadster
This 1932 Ford roadster wears an aftermarket Brookville body, but it’s a good quality item made from steel rather than fiberglass, and the frame remains original FoMoCo. Convincingly built in a late 40’s style, the car is a driver, having covered nearly 13k miles since completion, including outings at the Pasadena Reliability Run and LA Roadster Show. Filled with lots of super-rare speed parts from Hot Rodding’s earliest days, the car shows very well, with just enough wear to make it usable. Find it here on eBay in Aptos, California with reserve not met.
Final Year Euro Coupe: 1985 Mercedes Benz 230CE
This 1985 Mercedes Benz 230CE is a good looking European market example from the last year of W123 platform production. MB USA stopped sales of gasoline powered coupes in 1981, offering only diesels until the end of production four years later, making this late, gas burning example somewhat of a rarity on this side of the Atlantic. The seller says that it’s been partially refurbished, with work including new brakes, ball joints, and cooling system work, all performed by a dealer using MB parts. The car looks nicely kept inside and out, and this bright, deep blue pairs excellently with slim Euro bumpers. Find it here on Craigslist in Carmel, California for $10,600.
Tasteful Restomod: 1970 Datsun 240Z
This 1970 Datsun 240Z (chassis HLS30U01955) has undergone a full restoration, the results of which look quite good throughout. The car remains matching-numbers, and both its engine and gearbox have been refreshed. While disassembled and mounted to a rotisserie, all undercarriage components were stripped, cleaned, and painted, and all rubber bushings are new as well. Some rust repair is mentioned, but the car is now said to be completely free of corrosion. Mechanicals remain stock, though a few tasteful visual mods help set it apart from the crowd. Find it here on eBay in Tottenham, Ontario, Canada. Special thanks to BaT reader James S. for this submission.
