Factory 5th Wheel Package: 22K Mile 1981 Toyota Dually & 19′ Trailer
This 1981 Toyota pick-up (VIN JT4RN44D4B0025256) was modified from new to tow this Sunrader trailer, and both were originally purchased together as a package. The truck’s mileage is quoted as just under 22k miles, and both it and the trailer appear to have been very well looked-after over the years. A 22R/5-speed truck, the seller provides a few demo videos, one of which shows it running well while towing the fifth-wheel trailer. Find them both here on eBay in Lakewood, Washington with reserve not met.
Price Drop Update: 18K Mile 1988 Merkur XR4Ti
4/5/2016 Update: Seven months later and this 1988 Merkur XR4Ti (VIN WF1BT80W5JM698451) has not sold, despite a claimed ~18k miles and what appears to be a remarkably good state of preservation. The seller has dropped the price by a grand, but as cool as this car is, its market must be quite narrow. The seller says it’s fully functional, including A/C, heated seats, and lots of other accessories for this highly-optioned, good-looking 5-speed example. Find it here on Craigslist in Cincinnati, Ohio for $8,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Rare Summer Yellow: 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo
This 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo (VIN WP0AA2954HN150204) was purchased for its rare Summer Yellow color by both its previous and current collector owners. Driven very little by the seller and PO, the car is said to be in excellent mechanical condition, though both the odometer and A/C will need work. A few cosmetic flaws are pointed out as well, but provided it’s as good as claimed, this one could be a lot of fun. Find it here on eBay in Austin, Texas for $10,500 OBO.
All but Extinct: Clean 1991 Geo Storm GSi
This 1991 Geo Storm appears to be a rare non-beater example in range-topping GSi trim. Built for GM by Isuzu, these cars sold well back in the day but have all but disappeared in recent years. These twin cam GSi models are genuinely fun to drive, and were well-regarded by the press. This one looks exceptionally well-kept at 95k miles, but unfortunately does need a new head gasket. Find it here on Craigslist in San Francisco, California for $1,300. Special thanks to BaT reader Frank for this submission.
