One of 424 6-Speeds: 2003 Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion Wagon
This 2003 Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion wagon (VIN WVWLK63B83E466273) is said to be one of only 424 6-speed manual equipped examples sold in the US. A sales flop due to their ~$41k base price, these W8 cars pack a very interesting, all aluminum, quad cam eight cylinder arranged in four banks of two. Good for 270 HP and about the same figure in lb. ft. of torque, W8 powered cars were quick, comfortable, luxurious, and rare. This one looks to be in exceptional, cared for driver condition. Find it here on eBay in West Bloomfield, Michigan with no reserve.
Push-Button Driver: 1956 Plymouth Savoy Two-Door Hardtop
This 1956 Plymouth Savoy is a somewhat rare two-door hardtop variant that’s said to retain a standard 270ci V8 and push-button PowerFlite automatic transmission. Cosmetics are decent outside and better inside, though overall the car would probably qualify as a driver. To that end, the seller says it runs and drives, but needs brake adjustments prior to adding too many miles. Find it here on Craigslist in Port Townsend, Washington for $7,500.
Restored Factory 383/727: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is a good looking hardtop that’s been fully restored, including its original 383ci V8 and 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car has a few sensible upgrades like front disc brakes, and condition looks very good in photos. Find it here on Craigslist in French Lick, Indiana for $38,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Jim B. for this submission.
59K Mile GSL: 1982 Mazda RX-7
This 1982 Mazda RX-7 (VIN JM1FB3315C0646200) is a sharp looking example with 58k and change claimed miles from new. A desirable GSL package equipped car with four wheel disc brakes and a limited slip differential, the seller describes it as a beautiful original in fully functional condition excluding the power antenna. Find it here on eBay in Johnston, Iowa with no reserve.
