Ex-Fangio w/ Original & Modern Spare Engines: 1948 Maserati 4CLT
This 1948 Maserati 4CLT (chassis 1600) is said to have been raced in-period by many important names in gran prix racing, including Fangio. More recently campaigned extensively across Europe at venues like Silverstone, Imola, Goodwood, Jerez and the Nurburgring, the car currently runs an accurate, modern copy of the original supercharged twin cam four cylinder, allowing preservation of the priceless original. Said factory engine is included separately, and additional modern spares are available, including whole motors. Find it here on eBay near Stuttgart, Germany for 750k GBP (~$1,057,000 USD today).
Mostly Finished: Restored 1961 Dodge Polara Two-Door Hardtop
This 1961 Dodge Polara two-door hardtop (chassis 5212180928) is a partially restored example that displays nicely in all photos. Purchased from the original owner’s estate while in the midst of restoration, the seller then completed the job and has receipts on hand totaling in the neighborhood of $25,000. Though not 100% completed, the car looks very close to the finish line, and all work seems to have been done to a nice standard as well. Find it here on eBay in Woodinville, Washington with reserve not met.
South African Muscle: 1974 Chrysler Valiant Formula S w/ Turbo 360
This 1974 Chrysler Valiant Formula S (chassis JVH4100386) was assembled in South Africa from an Australian built knockdown kit, and has more recently been imported to the US and fitted with a turbocharged 360 and other Mopar goodies. The base car is anonymous enough that most won’t notice it’s something unusual on North American soil, and overall condition looks to be good. The build itself sounds quite impressive, and the ad lists work in detail. Find it here on eBay in Scottsdale, Arizona for $19k OBO.
Nice Patina: 1965 TVR Griffith 200 w/ Factory Ford 289
This 1965 TVR Griffith 200 (chassis 20005073) is said to retain its original 289ci Ford-sourced V8, and much like the seller’s other, previously featured TVR, the car appears as if it may remain largely factory. Its colors, patina, and delicate wires make for quite an appealing package, especially as many of these cars have been over-restored and fitted with incorrect details. Find it here on eBay in Norwich, Connecticut with reserve not met.
