Very Rusty 23 Window: 1962 Volkswagen Type 2 Project
This 1962 Volkswagen Type 2 is a sought after factory 23 window sunroof model, but it’s clearly seen better days. The market for these relatively rare panoramic buses has really blown up over the past few years, with restored examples often priced well into six figure territory. This one may be beyond saving, but then again maybe not considering the potential for a return–either way, it’s certainly an interesting commentary on the current white-hot nature of the 23 window market. Find it here on Craigslist in Soquel, California for $39,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Daniel G. for this submission.
$15K 1977 Porsche 911 S Project
This 1977 Porsche 911 S (chassis 9117201436) looks rough, but is described as straight, numbers-matching, accident free and largely solid. Obviously sold as a project, the car was parked after one cylinder developed a vacuum leak, and the 2.7 liter motor has since been pulled and partially disassembled–the remaining five cylinders reportedly still showed good compression. Cosmetics will clearly need some work as well, but the car sounds to have potential. Find it here on eBay in Abington, Connecticut with a $14,750 BIN.
Three for One: Restored 1970 & 1971 Plymouth Barracudas
This three Plymouth Barracudas are offered as a package deal, though the seller says that they are willing to sell individually for the “right money.” Two are hemi-equipped 1970 models, while the third is a 440 Six-Pack from ’71. Only one VIN is provided, but one hemi as well as the 440 are said to remain matching-numbers. All three have been restored, and condition looks good in photos–scattered and random though they may be. The two matching-numbers cars are also said to retain their original body panels, and all are automatics except fro the Limelight Green pistol-grip equipped 4-speed 426. Find them here on eBay in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with reserve not met and pricing in USD. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Restored 340/4-Speed w/ Factory Sunroof: 1971 Plymouth Duster
This 1971 Plymouth Duster (chassis VS29H1B) looks great in triple black with a rare factory folding sunroof, and though not matching-numbers, it is fresh from a rotisserie restoration that included rebuilds of its 340ci V8 and 4-speed manual gearbox. The seller says it needs nothing as-is, and though perhaps not as sought-after as other Mopar Muscle Cars of this era, this model’s relative scarcity will be a strong part of its appeal for the right buyer. Find it here on eBay in Conestoga, Pennsylvania with reserve not met.
