One of Two Cosworth BDA Racers: 1980 Ford Mustang/McLaren M-81

McLaren M 81 Ford Mustang IMSA GTO Race Car | eBay

This 1980 M-81 McLaren/Ford Mustang is number one of two race cars built, its sister car having competed at the ’81 Daytona 24 Hours again at Sebring the following year, each with some success. This one comes with extensive documentation as well as lots of spares, and condition seems to be excellent throughout. The car looks fantastic in its two-tone widebody, and though you’d be forgiven for expecting a 302 or maybe even a 351 underhood, power actually comes from a Cosworth BDA twin cam four. The seller says it’s in both original and track ready condition.Find it here on eBay in Indianapolis, Indiana with no reserve beyond an unmet $60k starting bid.

This 1955 DeSoto Fireflite (chassis 50355947) retains its original 291 Hemi, but its factory fit automatic trans has been swapped out for a Mopar A-833 4-speed manual. A few other mild, period style customizations have been added as well, including the fantastic lake pipes seen below. Overall condition looks very good, and the gearbox swap should make this one even more fun. Find it here on Craigslist in Saint Joseph, Illinois for $12k.

Mild Restomod: 1965 Ford Mustang 5-Speed Fastback

a

This 1965 Ford Mustang sounds to retain its original 289, though wording is a bit confusing. Either way, it looks good and is clearly running a 289, which according to the ad has been rebuilt and passes power through a World Class T-5 5-speed–an excellent upgrade. Other worthwhile modifications include upgraded control arms and subframe connectors, and sale includes “all receipts.” Find it here on Craigslist in Santa Rosa, California for $37,500.
