Ex-Forest Service Tandem Seat Three-Wheeler: 1981 HMV Freeway
This 1981 HMV Freeway is one of about 700 made between 1979 and 1982 by High Mileage Vehicles of Burnsville, Minnesota. This specific example was originally owned by the Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Massachusetts, where it accumulated only 275 miles before being purchased by the current seller who subsequently added another 5,000 without issue. Finished in Forest Service Green over a beige interior, the odd little three-wheeler is powered by a single-cylinder of either 12 or 16 HP, comes with servicing literature, and looks very well preserved. Find it here on Craigslist in Holliston, Massachusetts for $5,500.
Tragic: Stripped 1975 Maserati Bora Shell
This 1975 Maserati Bora has been stripped of its engine, transaxle, interior, glass, trim and many other components. The ad is frustratingly short on info, which really only adds to the air of mystery surrounding this one. Not too long ago, the seller’s ask would net a running, drivable project example. Find it here on Craigslist near Lancaster, California for $35k OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric B. for this submission.
Not a Lexus: Well Preserved 1991 Infiniti M30 Convertible
This 1991 Infiniti M30 convertible (VIN JNXHF16C8MT000754) is a rare car in any condition, and this one looks like it’s probably one of the best left. Essentially a re-badged and LHD converted Nissan Leopard, the seller says this one is “super original” with excellent bodywork and sound mechanicals. These cars are bigger and heavier than they look in photos, and ride on a traditional front engined, rear drive platform, making them popular for JDM drivetrain swaps among their cult following here in the US. Find this one here on Craigslist in San Francisco, California for $7,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Well Kept w/ Factory Dogleg 5-Speed: 1980 Datsun 510 Five-Door
This 1980 Datsun 510 is a rarely seen five-door station wagon equipped with A/C and a dogleg 5-speed gearbox. Though not perfect, the car appears to have weathered the past 36 plus years unusually well, and the seller claims mostly original paint and very little rust thanks to having spent most of its life in California. Cold A/C is listed as well, and though not our preferred 510, it’s still good to see such a rare car still on the road. Find it here on Craigslist in Brooklyn, New York for $7,300.
