Price Drop Update: Turbo 20V Audi Swapped 1971 Lotus Europa

290HP Audi Turbo Power: 1971 Lotus Europa S2

7/27/2016 Update: This 1971 Lotus Europa features a 1.8 liter 20 valve Audi turbo four-cylinder that’s reportedly good for nearly 300 HP. The car was featured here last Halloween, and is back on the market in Europe–this time in Germany rather than Poland as before. The same photos have been recycled, but notably, the asking price has dropped by a hefty 6k euros. It’s a very well built looking car, and with more than 350 HP per ton, it should be lighting quick, too. Find it here on eBay in Dusseldorf, Germany with a 40k euro (~$44k USD today) BIN.

Running 289/4-Speed Project: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback

f

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is described as a C-code 289/4-speed car, though neither are said to be original. The car is running, but will need rust and body repair as well as general mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment. That said, it looks to be largely complete, and generally speaking, rocker and frame shots seem to be promising. Find it here on eBay in West Creek, New Jersey with reserve not met.

Zagato Aluminum Bodied Targa: 1979 Bristol 412

a

This 1979 Bristol 412 is an angular, aluminum bodied car with an unusual roof configuration and a Chrysler 383ci V8, and the seller speculates that production may have been as low as 50 cars–actual build figures were never released, but their guess doesn’t sound too far off. Designed and built in Italy by Zagato, this one has some needs, but none of them sound to be serious, and the car passed its MOT test in March of this year. Find it here on eBay in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England with a 15k GBP (~$19,700 USD today) BIN. Ex-Goodwood Revival: 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS Zagato

f

This 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS (chassis 01840) is said to be one of just 39 Zagato bodied short wheelbase cars built, and since restoration in the mid to late 90’s, has had several successful vintage racing outings, and was also featured at the 2008 Goodwood Revival. The car looks spectacular in a typically avant-garde Zagato kind of way, and is loaded with artful design features like its incredible double bubble roof. Find it here at Veni Vidi Vici in Castries, Netherlands for 349k euros (~$384k USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
