Subaru Powered Hot Rod: Ossi Blue 1968 Porsche 912

a

This 1968 Porsche 912 has been built into a bit of a hot rod, and the seller says that work was based on a rust and accident free black plate California shell. It’s still powered by a boxer four, albeit a water-cooled JDM Subaru 2.0 liter good for an estimated ~300 RWHP and up to 8250 RPM. Suspension has been thoroughly upgraded in support of the hugely increased power, and the seller also lists lots of cool period style items like 911R prototype inspired bare aluminum Fuchs, 911ST and R spec replica seats and more. Described as reliable and blazingly fast, it will even reportedly return over 30 MPG on the freeway. Find it here on Pelican Parts in San Francisco, California for $45k.

Peking to Paris: Incredible 1968 AMX AMX Rally Build

This 1968 AMC AMX has been built into a monstrous looking and thoroughly prepped sounding rally car that’s said to be ready for competition as-is. The ad notes excellent rigidity thanks to a full cage and strengthened shell, nearly 50/50 weight distribution with most mass concentrated low and center, and what sounds to be a 390 de-tuned to run on “any fuel available.” The level of detail and build quality on display are highly impressive, and this is easily one of the most creative builds featured on BaT this year. Find it here at Rally Preparation Services in Witney, Oxfordshire, England for 150k GBP (~$193k USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.

Cross Ram 413: Running 1960 Chrysler 300F Project

a

This 1960 Chrysler 300F (chassis 8403117029) had been sitting for an undisclosed number of years, but does run and drive with an auxiliary fuel source hooked up. Featuring its original Cross-Ram 413 and said to be mostly solid and complete, the car does exhibit some through rust and evidence of previous Bondo repair, but still seems restorable–being one of only 1,217 produced (969 in Coupe form), it should be worth it. Find it here on eBay in Eden, Utah with reserve not met.

Black Cherry: Final Edition 1992 Jaguar XJ12 Vanden Plas

1992 Jaguar XJ12 S3 Vanden Plas V12 #28 Limited Edition * PRISTINE

This 1992 Jaguar XJ12 Vanden Plas (VIN SAJDL1843NC486056) is reportedly number 28 of 100 final edition Series 3 cars built for the Canadian market. Condition looks very nice inside and out, and the seller gives the impression that it’s been taken excellent care of both during their ownership and prior. Quite a list of recent maintenance work is listed, and the seller says it starts quickly, idles steadily, runs cool and accelerates more smoothly than their 2001 XJ8. Find it here on Craigslist in Berkeley, California for $14,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Jim Y. for this submission.
