Rare Aluminum Slant Six: 1962 Dodge Lancer GT
This 1962 Dodge Lancer GT (chassis 7422526493) is an unusual offering featuring an aluminum block 225 slant six, which itself is reportedly exceedingly rare. Complete aside from a headliner and a few trim pieces, the car is described as a project without title, however it reportedly runs and drives, and the seller says it would make a good restoration project. Find it here on eBay in Valrico, Florida for $5,500 OBO.
Nicest We’ve Seen: 190 HP Zetec Lotus Elan Plus 2
This Lotus Elan Plus 2 is offered with no mention of its model year, but these four seater hardtop variants were only offered from 1967-’75. Listed by renown marque specialists Spyder, the car is probably the prettiest Plus 2 we’ve seen, and appears to be the product of a recent restoration. Power comes from a 190+ HP Ford Zetec 16V twin cam, and four piston Wilwood brakes help deal with the added grunt. Find it here at Spydercars in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England for 29k GBP (~$37,900 USD today).
$1K Roller: Almost Complete 1972 Lotus Europa S2
This 1972 Lotus Europa S2 has reportedly been sitting for many years, and though it sounds to be complete apart from seats and the rear window, the seller admits that the driveline’s condition is unknown. The car will roll however, and excluding typical stress cracks, fiberglass bodywork is said to be in good shape underneath faded paint. Find it here on Craigslist in Pelton. Pennsylvania for $1k. RWD 360 Swapped: Original Owner 1987 Dodge Charger
This 1987 Dodge Charger is a rare enough car on its own, but this one’s on offer by its original owner and has also been converted to RWD and Mopar 360ci V8 power. Mileage is reportedly just 43k, and the car looks bone stock inside and out. You’d really have to be looking to spot the discreet, big bore turndown exhaust tip, but the sound is probably less easy to disguise. Find it here on Craigslist in Frederick, Maryland for $4,800.
