Soot Covered Split: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300/Auto
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is a first year only split window C2 that’s obviously been sitting for some time. A 327/300 HP car with an automatic, it’s said to retain its factory engine, though running condition isn’t quite clear. The car seems like it might clean up very well, though it looks incredibly mysterious and oddly appealing covered in years of grime, too. Find it here on Craigslist in Los Angeles, California for $65k OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric B. for this submission.
$55K for 80K Miles: 1995 Ferrari 456 GT 6-Speed
This 1995 Ferrari 456 GT is a preferable 6-speed manual model with a relatively high 80k miles. The seller has been in possession of its keys for seven years now, and sells the odometer reading as a plus, suggesting that it’s been regularly exercised in contrast to being “buffed with a diaper” while maintenance falls by the wayside. It’s a beautiful car in what looks to be good condition, and apart from a power steering fluid leak, it sounds to be sorted as well. Find it here on Craigslist in Windsor, Connecticut for $55k. Special thanks to BaT reader Jason H. for this submission.
Flat Four & Pininfarina Styling: 1980 Lancia Gamma
This 1980 Lancia Gamma is a sharp looking, claimed original car that was recently inspected and sounds to be road-ready. Originally a sales flop, these Pininfarina-designed coupes have aged beautifully, and were quite expensive when new. Just over 15k of four-door Berlinas were built, with less than half that number accounting for these lovely, sharp-suited coupes. Find this one here on mobile.de in Goch, Germany for 7,250 euros (-$8k USD today)
Pre-Murena: 1979 Matra-Simca Bagheera
This 1979 Matra-Simca Bagheera is an earlier iteration of the mid-engined, three abreast seating concept most recently highlighted here on BaT in the form of its successor, the Murena. Nearly 48k of these interesting little French wedges were built over a surprisingly long seven year span, but they’re nonetheless somewhat difficult to find in as nice of shape as this example appears to be. Find it here on mobile.de in Potenza Picena, Italy for 9k euros (-$10k USD today)
