$4500 Price Drop Update: 1981 Citroen CX Pallas Diesel
9/13/2016 Update: Nearly two years later, this 1981 Citroen CX Pallas diesel (VIN VF7MAMM0012MM0376) is back on the market, seemingly by the same seller but at a greatly reduced price. The ad notes further details about its 2010 restoration, adding that its free of rust and in excellent mechanical condition to boot. Retrofitted Euro spec bumpers, resprayed, factory correct paint, reupholstered seats, refreshed oleopneumatics, working A/C and many more positives are described in the ad, and overall condition looks to be quite good. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles, California with a $14,500 BIN. Special thanks to BaT reader Phillip M. for this submission.
Well Kept Driver: High Mile 1989 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel
This 1989 Volkswagen Jetta is a Wolfsburg Edition diesel/5-speed car in surprisingly good looking shape for its 365k plus miles. The car retains its original paint and interior, and the ad notes an engine rebuild, refreshed suspension, new clutch, overhauled brakes and more. Said to start easily and run very well, the seller likens it to a people’s 300D Benz, a description that suits it perfectly. Find it here on Craigslist in Nashville, Tennessee for $3,450. Special thanks to BaT reader Robert P. for this submission.
74K-Mile E38: 2000 BMW 740i
This 2000 BMW 740i is finished in tasteful Aspen Silver Metallic and is said to have only 74k original miles on the odometer. Described as fully loaded, the car also looks to be equipped with a few M-sport package related bits including M-parallel wheels and black window trim, while the seller adds that a dealer Inspection I service was just completed. Find it here on Craigslist in Gainesville, Florida for $6,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Parataxic D. for this submission.
Zero-Mile 347/5-Speed Restoration: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback
This 1965 Ford Mustang was restored way back in 2000, but has spent the last 16 years sitting in a garage awaiting installation of an included 347 stroker and 5-speed. As such, it’s never been driven, and still looks to be quite fresh. The seller claims all it needs is to have the engine and trans hooked up, and though the Shelby tribute stuff might not be for everyone, a ’65 fastback with five forward gears and 430 HP sounds like a great recipe. Find it here on Craigslist in Sayville, New York for $26k.
