Sans Moteur: Pur Sang 1927 Bugatti T35B Price Drop Update
9/16/2016 Update: Just a bit over five months later, and this Pur Sang-built 1927 Bugatti T35B replica is back on the market, seemingly offered by the same Florida-based seller, albeit on mainland rather than in Keys as before. The ad has many new photos showing the car in detail, though none are particularly well shot. What really caught our eye is the massive $43k price drop, which represents nearly a third of the former $132k ask. Reportedly ordered without an engine 15 years ago by a local Argentinian client, it’s still without the correct, supercharged, 24 valve, SOHC straight eight, or indeed any motor for that matter. It’s never been driven as a result, but is otherwise complete, and as the seller points out, these cars typically sell for $300k or so when complete. Presumably Pur Sang will still sell you an engine, but they must be prohibitively expensive or this one would likely already be thus equipped. Find it here on Hemmings in Miami, Florida for $89k OBO.
Rare Turbo AWD w/ Lotus Tuned Suspension: 1991 Isuzu Impulse RS
This 1991 Isuzu Impulse RS is said to have just 68k original miles, but has been sitting for a while and isn’t currently running. We think it’s worth checking out regardless, as these are rare cars in any form, let alone turbocharged, AWD, Lotus tuned suspension examples like this one. The seller further claims a clean CarFax and no rust, and hopefully it won’t take much to get this cult classic back on the road again. Find it here on Craigslist in Tracy, California for $3k. Special thanks to BaT reader AMF for this submission.
Hand-Built Flagship Project: 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
This 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham was last on the road 1979, and has been stored outdoors under a tarp since. As a result it’s now in need of full restoration, but as a rare example of the marque’s ultra-high range and hand-built 50’s flagship, it’s most certainly worth preserving. The seller says it’s almost entirely complete apart from a few unusual but standard interior accessories (like shot glasses and a perfume atomizer), adding that it contains no through-rust. Find it here on Craigslist near Los Angeles, California for $45k. Special thanks to BaT reader Richard S. for this submission.
Rare Straight-Six/5-Speed: 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E
This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E is a rare 5-speed, six-cylinder 2.6 model in what looks like nice driver condition. Appearance has been upgraded with flush-fit Euro headlamps, the interior looks particularly well kept, and though a few issues like non-op A/C will need sorting, the seller says it runs and drives “flawlessly.” Find it here on Craigslist in Louisville, Kentucky for $2,750.
