Fifty Bucks: Austin Healey Corpse

Austin Healey 3000 MK III for parts / scrap metal

This Austin Healey is listed as a 3000 MkIII, as per the prominently shown front section, though closer inspection reveals it may actually be an older 100 model. The ad doesn’t offer a year or any other helpful info, but in any case, there isn’t much of the car left anyway. It’s too far gone to be restored, and the seller suggests using it for parts, what little there are, or selling the carcass for scrap. Find it here on Craigslist in Park Ridge, New Jersey for $50 OBO.

Well Kept Land Yacht: 1972 Cadillac Eldorado

1972 Cadillac Eldorado Survivor

This 1972 Cadillac Eldorado is on offer by its second owner, a Cadillac collector who describes the car as a rare non-vinyl top equipped example with 58k miles. Further claimed to be in outstanding condition, both mechanically and cosmetically, the car presents very well in photos, and furthermore sounds to remain largely original. Find it here on Craigslist in College Station, Texas for $10k.

GTi Swapped: 1976 Citroen CX 2200 Super

This 1976 Citroen CX 2200 Super comes with newer paint and rebuilt suspension. It’s original 112 HP 2.2 liter four was swapped out for a more powerful, 128 horse 2.5 GTi spec engine about 25 years ago, along with a 5-speed to replace the factory four. The car looks great in early, unadorned bodywork, and sitting low over smooth wheel covers in this unusual shade of orange only highlights its unconventional appeal. Find it here on mobile.de in Athens, Greece for 9k euros (-$10k USD today).

Project Rotorbike: 1977 Hercules W-2000

This 1977 Hercules W-2000 (frame 480005069) is claimed to be untouched and original, and by the looks of things, it was stored away indoors for awhile as well. These German machines were the first production motorcycles to feature a Wankel-type engine, and only 1,800 were ever built. This particular example isn’t offered with an overwhelming amount of information, but the ad does note that it hasn’t been started for an undisclosed amount of time, and thus may need a number of things before it’s road ready again. Find it here on eBay in East Haddam, Connecticut with no reserve beyond an unmet $5k opening bid.
