Big Price Drop Update: Crosley Lotus Miller Special
9/1/2016 Update: Almost six years since its first feature, and just under a year since its last, this interesting and unusual Lotus bodied Crosley-Miller special is back on the market, apparently offered by the same seller in the same location. Its price has been reduced by almost a third however, and a few new photos help provide some added perspective. Find it here on Craigslist in Paradise Valley, Arizona for $17,600. Rare FWD Pick-Up: 1978 Volkswagen EA489 Hormiga
This 1978 Volkswagen EA489 Basistransporter is a rare utility vehicle that was built in small numbers for developing markets. Aside from knockdown kits that Volkswagen AG provided out of Germany, these were also locally produced in Mexico from 1977-79. Virtually no useful information is found in the ad, but the truck appears to have been restored, and features a few practical modifications as well. Find it here on eBay near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for $15k OBO.
Pontiac Straight Six Swapped: LHD 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4
This 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 (chassis 06290) is a LHD car that’s had its original W.O. Bentley designed twin cam straight-six swapped for a SOHC Pontiac one. The car is offered as a project, but looks complete and very restorable. The car definitely deserves a correct motor, but unfortunately the rusty Aston block that’s included looks too far gone–fortunately, lift shots show that rust is much less widespread than might be expected. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles, California for $175k OBO.
Pistol Grip & Billboards: 1971 Plymouth Barracuda 340/4-Speed
This 1971 Plymouth Barracuda (chassis BS23H1B303281) is described as largely original and comes nicely equipped with factory leather and a numbers-matching 340/4-speed combo. The car looks amazing in an older, correct colors respray, mileage is given as 60k, and sale includes the factory broadcast sheet. Find it here on eBay in Bangor, Maine with a $57k BIN.
