S54/6-Speed w/ M3 Tribute Bodywork: 1989 BMW E30 Touring
This 1989 BMW 3-series Touring has been heavily modified to accept an E46 M3 S54 and 6-speed drivetrain, as well as flared E30 M3 style fenders and bodywork. In concept this is a build we’ve long been interested in, and though the results look great, sadly the ad is very short on hard details–there’s no word on brakes, suspension, running condition or even photos of the interior. We’re still intrigued though, and provided it’s all dialed-in properly, the car could make for a near-ideal all-rounder. Find it here on Craigslist in Austin, Texas for $65k. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric D. for this submission.
392 Hemi Barnstormer: 1947 Ford F100 Sleeper
This 1947 Ford F100 originally came from Kansas according to the seller, meaning paint was faded from decades in the prairie sun and not a replicated “fauxtina.” What really caught our attention is its 392ci Mopar hemi that’s displaced the original FoMoCo flathead V8, which should make for one of the fasted jalopy pick-ups to be found anywhere. Find it here on eBay in Washington, New Jersey with a $17,500 BIN.
Period Yellow Respray: 1989 BMW M3
This 1989 BMW M3 received a color change to this non-original yellow sometime in the mid-90’s, and the result looks surprisingly excellent. Said to have been a glass and trim-out job, the car still looks excellent inside and out, runs new tires, and retains its original engine. The seller further claims just 52,400 miles and exceptional running and driving condition. Find it here on Craigslist in Los Angeles, California for $37k.
All Original V8/3-Speed Driver: 1962 Ford Fairlane
This 1962 Ford Fairlane (chassis 2R31L136649) two-door post is claimed to be all original, and though the car wars its age honestly, the resultant patina is actually very cool. Said to run well with a small block V8 underhood, shifting is via a three-on-the-tree. The possibilities for this one are near endless, but we’d simply tend to any mechanical needs and enjoy at as-is. Find it here on Craigslist in San Diego, California for $6,500.
