Super Rare Two-Door: 1990 Toyota 4Runner w/ Full Documentation
This 1990 Toyota 4Runner is an exceedingly rare two-door model that’s described by the seller as carefully maintained from new with maintenance records for “every single thing that’s ever been done to it.” The odometer reads 186k and the truck is said to have had three owners since new, while the seller further reports that the vehicle is in nice shape–photos seem to agree. Find it here on Craigslist in suburban Sacramento, California for $5k.
Crash of ’86: 1979 Maserati Merak SS Project
This 1979 Maserati Merak (chassis AM122US2560) is a US market SS trim level car that’s reportedly been off the road since 1986. It’s been hit in front, wheels are missing, and there’s more than a little rust to contend with, but apart from rolling stock it does appear to be complete, including the mid-mounted quad cam V6 it shared with Citroen’s SM. Find it here on Craigslist in Los Angeles, California for $21,900.
Chassis 38 of 100: Beautifully Restored 1964 Gordon Keeble
This 1964 Gordon Keeble (chassis 38) is one of 100 built over a four year period ending in 1967. Restored to what the seller describes as a “near concours” quality, it’s nonetheless said to remain very usable. Condition does look excellent throughout, and this lovely Ice Blue metallic really complements the car’s Giugiaro lines. Fiberglass bodied with 327 Chevy power, these were expensive, exclusive, luxurious and fast GT cars, and this apparently excellent example is actually the first to be featured on BaT. Find it here on Car and Classic in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, France for 87,500 GBP (~$113,600 USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Audi V8 Powered Track Build: 2000 Porsche Boxster S
This 2000 Porsche Boxster S is a highly modified race car that originally served as a test bed for Subaru engine adaptation kits. Power now comes from a 4.2 liter 32-valve Audi V8, the installation of which necessitated a myriad of additional changes, including a complete revamping of fueling and cooling systems as well as electricals. The ad is exhaustively detailed, build quality looks very high, and the car is said to be eligible for racing under NASA, SCCA, PCA and other regulating bodies. Find it here on eBay in Gilbert, Arizona for $50k OBO.
