Nine Years Later: 1973 AC Frua 428
This 1973 AC Frua 428 (chassis CF70) is back up for sale in the same location as when we featured it in 2007 (link), though the price has climbed rather substantially since then. It still shows to be in a very clean driver condition, and the current seller describes it as being in excellent mechanical shape, with no smoke or fluid leaks. Only 81 of these Pietro Frua-designed cars were ever constructed, and 49 of them wore this fastback body. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles, California with reserve not met. Group A in the USA: 1987 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car
This 1987 Lancia Other Delta HF Integrale (chassis ZLA831AB000416959) is claimed to be a genuine competition car raced by Didier Auriol and later by the Jolly Club. It is a 16V car that was imported to the USA by the seller in 2013. Being more than 25 years old, it should be legal for road use in many states, though it is now shown with any USA license plates. Genuine Group A cars are rare in the USA, and we’d love to hear more about the event history of this car. Find it here on eBay in Midvale, Utah. Italian Market Tax Break M3: 1988 BMW 320is in Seattle
This 1988 BMW 320is is one of approximately 3,700 S14 powered cars built for export to Italy and Portugal when anything above two liters faced steeper taxation. Note the M-badge on the grille–these cars ran a version of the same twin cam used in the contemporary M3, and this one looks great in Delphine Gray over Anthracite upholstery. It also appears to be very well cared for, with the seller claiming 100% originality. Further described as one of just four in the US, recent work included fitment of new tires and an R134a A/C conversion. Find it here on Craigslist in Seattle, Washington for $35,500.
Base German Spec in NYC: 1980 BMW 518
This 1980 BMW 518 (VIN WBA36510007286062) is a German market four cylinder example that’s reported to be in wonderful original condition. The seller drives it every day of the week, adding that it handles Manhattan traffic and weekend trips to the Hamptons with ease. The ad details a fair bit of recent maintenance, and the car does look unusually nice inside and out. Find it here on eBay in NYC with reserve not met.
