Sharp V6/5-Speed: 1987 Nissan 200SX

This 1987 Nissan 200SX SE (VIN JN1VS26S4HW034085) is a V6/5-speed car with 86k miles, reportedly purchased by the seller from a dealer that had taken it in trade from the original owners. Although the car hasn’t seen much use in the seller’s collection, it is said to run and drive well with no mechanical faults, and while there are a few paint blemishes, it appears to be quite clean inside and out. BaT Auction Success Story: User Chuckgoolsbee Finally Gets His M6

The buyer of the 1987 BMW M6 purchased via BaT Auctions this past October (link) just sent us this story detailing their epic drive home.

“Just about every E24 M6 that appears on BaT over the past year has drawn my attention. I've actively bid on several, including a few that I lost in the final minutes to a higher bidder. Most of my attention went to M6’s that are not Black or Red. I've owned a black car before and never liked how it shows every flaw. I've just never liked red cars. Sorry for all you red car lovers, but to me they look flat, completely lacking in depth. In my opinion the metallic blues are the best colors, as they have amazing depth and change in different lighting conditions. The week before this auction there was another M6 on BaT, upon which I was the high bidder, but it failed to meet reserve. I was having a few offline conversations with the seller, when this one appeared. Soon regular BaT commentators are calling me out by name:

Sad Streamliner: 1947 Tatra T87 Restoration Project

This 1947 Tatra T87 is also referred to as a 1948 model within the ad, but regardless of model year, records tell us that it’s one of 3,056 hand-built in Kopřivnice between 1936 and 1950. Teh car has clearly been sitting in this semi-enclosed garage for many years, and the very brief ad raises more questions than it answers–for example, there’s no word of whether its rear-mounted, air-cooled, magnesium V8 remains in place, and no direct interior photos are provided. Regardless, these are deeply special cars, and the seller believes that this one is a prime candidate for restoration. Find it here on eBay in Front Royal, Virginia for $50k OBO.

This 1993 Toyota MR2 is a desirable second-gen Turbo/5-speed example with a claimed ~84k miles and a clean title. Black over stock wheels and a tan leather interior is a good look, and sale even includes the original window sticker with an MSRP of $28k and change. Stock, well-kept cars like this one appears to be are getting hard to come by, and seem set to see a steep jump in pricing very soon. Find it here on Craigslist in Carrollton, Texas for $10,500.
