351W/3-Speed Half-Cab Resto: 1968 Ford Bronco

a

This 1968 Ford Bronco is a cool half-cab model with a non-factory but well-chosen 351W mated to what’s likely to be the original 3-speed manual gearbox. The truck itself looks nice inside, out and underneath, with a mild 3″ lift, flares, and big rolling stock on top, and power steering and brakes with front discs hidden beneath. Find it here on Craigslist in San Diego, California for $37,500.

Quirky British Fiberglass: 1959 Ashley GT Project

This 1959 Ashley GT is a rare fiberglass-bodied British machine that makes use of what were once commonly available Ford Anglia underpinnings, including its 1172 side-valve four and gearbox. Neither are currently fitted however, and their condition is unknown. The car itself seems very restorable, and includes some rare period go-fast parts like a Bellamy split beam front axle, wheels and rear hubs. Find it here on eBay near London, England with no reserve beyond an unmet 5k GBP (~$6,200 USD today) starting bid. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.

Restored Viehwagen: 1957 DKW F 800 Schnellaster

a

This 1957 DKW F 800 Schnellaster or “Rapid Transporter” is a neat looking, high wood-sided pick-up, which if we’re reading the translated ad correctly, may be a special coachbuilt, extended wheelbase model with increased payload. It’s been with the seller since 1989, and underwent restoration in 1991. It still looks very good, with just the right amount of worn-in character for an old work truck. Find it here on eBay in Aachen, Germany with no reserve beyond an unmet 25k euro (~$26,500 USD today) starting bid. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.

Stradale to Two-Time Race Champ: 1977 Fiat 131 Abarth

This 1977 Fiat 131 Abarth sounds to have started life as a Stradale homologation model, but at some point was converted into full-on racer–not uncommon for the 500 or so street versions built. The seller says it weighs in at just 800kg, with 240 high-strung HP on offer from its 2.0 liter, 16-valve, Abarth-tuned Lampredi twin cam. Further claimed to have seen period use in hillclimbs and to have clinched unspecified Italian championships in 1982 and 1983, sale includes FIA documentation as well as shipping, customs clearance and broker fees. Find it here on eBay in Brescia, Italy for $105k OBO.
