Khaki Camper Combo: 1968 Fiat 850 w/ Franza Trailer
This 1968 Fiat 850 is offered in conjunction with a 1967 Franza camper trailer. The car benefits from a cosmetic restoration completed earlier this year, and the seller reports that it remained with its original owner until 2014. The ad doesn’t specify how these two ended up together, but they certainly make a cool pair. Find them here on Classic Driver in Genova, Italy for $23k USD.
Sharp Special Build: 1987 Audi Coupe GT
This 1987 Audi Coupe GT is one of 1,600 Special Build examples produced, 850 of which were exported to the US. Finished in Tornado Red over a velour interior, condition looks very nice inside and out, while mileage is reported as 92k. These limited-production coupes were only offered in three colors including red, white and black, with noteworthy equipment including a digital dash and trip computer, beefed-up driveline components, and a color-matched rear spoiler. Find this one here on Craigslist in Cherryville, New Jersey for $7,900.
Sole Survivor of Four: 1940 Buick Factory Complex Runabout
This 1940 Buick Roadmaster pick-up (chassis 638200T) was built by the division’s Motor Engineering Group not as a prototype, experimental vehicle or concept, but rather as one of four that were to be used in-house at the Buick complex. One of three finished in black (the fourth, red truck and was used by Buick’s Fire Department), all were supposed to be scrapped on retirement, but happily this example was saved by a plant manager and subsequent;y used at a Michigan hunting camp. Since fully restored and featured in multiple publications, we’ve known about Rolls-Royce’s similar in-house creations used for transporting aero V12’s, but this lovely old Buick came as a complete surprise. Find it here on eBay in Flushing, Michigan with a $149k BIN.
Running Project: 1964 Velocette LE MkIII
This 1964 Velocette LE MkIII (frame 641634) is being offered as a running, mostly original bike in need of some mechanical attention. Cosmetics look decent, with an attractive, light patina covering most surfaces, but one of the twin cylinders has a compression issue and fires erratically. These bikes were originally conceived as inexpensive, comfortable, and easy to operate machines, but advanced engineering kept prices high, and the model eventually became best known for its adaptation by British police. This one might be tricky to fix, but definitely seems worth the trouble. Find it here on eBay in Costa Mesa, California with reserve not met.
