Factory Twin-Engined 4×4: 1962 Citroen 2CV Sahara
This 1962 Citroen 2CV Sahara is one of around 700 factory-built, twin-engined 4×4 models made, of which around 30 are believed to remain in existence today. Saharas were largely hand-built by Panhard, to a design spec originally intended to serve French colonial forces in North Africa. This one’s been partially restored twice in recent times, once around 14 years ago near the beginning of its previous owner’s tenure, and again more recently by the selling dealer. Find it here on eBay in Fletcher, North Carolina for $99,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
Rare Aluminum Slant-Six: 1962 Plymouth Valiant Signet
This 1962 Plymouth Valiant Signet (chassis 1427168236) is an interestingly styled two-door hardtop with a rare aluminum-block 225ci slant-six. Originally from Texas, the car is said to be very clean with a claimed 74k original miles. Fully restored in Alpine White three years ago, overall it looks like a very sharp driver. The “Leaning Tower of Power” under the hood has been completely gone through as well, with work including fitment of a few cool period hop-up parts. Elsewhere, the original 3-speed has been replaced with an A-833 4-speed, and a factory Sure-Grip rear end puts power down to the ground. Find it here on eBay in Manassas, Georgia with reserve not met.
Stunning Pininfarina Sport Berlina: 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500
This 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 is reported by its seller to be one of about 80 Pininfarina Sport Berlina examples built, of which they estimate 17 to remain today. It looks magnificent, with shades of Lancia and Bentley mixed with established 6C design themes, and the seller seems to suggest that it remains unrestored as well–pretty remarkable given what appears to be an excellent state of preservation inside and out. Find it here on Classic Driver in Temse, Belgium for $233,190 USD.
Miura Green Driver: 1971 Intermeccanica Italia
This 1971 Intermeccanica Italia looks wild in what we’re going to call Miura Green, and condition looks to be of a good, usable driver quality throughout. The retains what’s likely to be its factory Ford 351 Cleveland powerplant, driving the rear set of 14″ Cromodoras through a 4-speed toploader. Find it here on Craigslist in Tempe, Arizona for $105k. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric B. for this submission.
