Very Few Left: 59K-Mile 1982 Dodge Rampage
This 1982 Dodge Rampage is a fairly scarce L-platform based FWD pick-up which the seller reports to have purchased from the estate of its original owner. Though it’s been repainted, the interior remains original, and condition appears to be quite good inside, out, and even underneath. Find it here on Craigslist in Commerce, Georgia for $5,500. $5K Running Project: 1987 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette
This 1987 Chevrolet Corvette is one of 510 C4 generation cars equipped with option B2K–otherwise known as the Callaway Twin Turbo package. Billed as a running project with a salvage title due to water damage, mileage is listed at only 12k, and the transmission is a 4+3 Doug Nash overdrive manual. The car is dusty, but the seller claims that paint remains in good condition underneath. It’s worth noting that checking the box for B2K added $20k to a C4’s sticker price, meaning this one’s likely to have been a $50k car when new–that’s close to $110k in today’s money. Find it here on Craigslist in Pineville, North Carolina for $4,900.
Inexpensive & Interesting: 1948 Studebaker Champion Four-Door
This 1948 Studebaker Champion (chassis 7GW514596) isn’t a more sought-after coupe, but these four-doors have cool rear-hinged back doors, and are still packed with lots of unusual styling features like the split rear window and “helmet” style greenhouse. The seller says that this one appears to be all original, and condition looks to be quite nice inside and out despite the need for unspecified “minor TLC.” Find it here on eBay in Lake Worth, Florida for $6,250 OBO.
Weirdly Compelling: 1988 Tatra T613-3
This 1988 Tatra T613-3 is a facelifted version of the original Vignale-styled 603 successor, and the seller reports that its air-cooled, quad-cam 3.5 liter V8 has recently been rebuilt. Described as ready to be driven, condition looks nice throughout. Though this model’s angular bodywork is nowhere near as spectacular as that of earlier streamlined V8 Tatras, they’re still very impressive in person, with loads of eye-catching design features and S-class rivaling scale. Built to order by hand, it’s believed that Tatra lost tens of thousands dollars (or their equivalent) on each one. Find this one here on Classic Trader in Grimma, Germany for $20,676 USD.
