5 Speeds & 320 Pound/Feet: Tuned 1995 Volvo 850 T5R
This 1995 Volvo 850 T5R has been heavily modified, fitted with an upgraded turbocharger and 5-speed manual transmission in place of the original automatic. These are some of the best looking wagons of the past few decades, and with a warbly, wooshing, forced-induction five and three pedals to play with, this one should be a lot of fun too. Dyno figures are impressive, reportedly reading 267 HP and nearly 320 lb. ft. at the front wheels. Suspension and braking haven’t been neglected either, the ad listing quite a few worthwhile IPD upgrades. . Find it here on Swede Speed in Ithaca, New York for $7,800. 351W Upgraded Driver: 1958 Mercury Wagon
This 1958 Mercury wagon (chassis XH6849449566W) appears to a Commuter model, and is described as having a solid body, door bottoms and floors. From the outside, the car looks pretty much stock, as does much of the interior where new upholstery has been fitted. Underneath however, a 1994-vintage 351W has been fitted, along with a C6 automatic, power front disc brakes, and other upgraded subsystems. We dig the photo staging, and the car itself has great details and colors–according to the seller, it’s ready for the next owner to fly in and drive home. Find it here on eBay in Melbourne, Florida with reserve not met.
Exotic Basketcase: 1959 Lancia Appia GTE Zagato Project
This 1959 Lancia Appia GTE (chassis 812013107) is one of about 300 Zagato bodied coupes made, and though heavily rusty with rotten floors and a compromised chassis, the car is largely complete, including most hard-to-find trim. Its original drivetrain is retained as well, and the little V4 is neither cracked nor seized. The seller has properly braced the structure in prep for shipping, and though certainly a massive project, as an exotic, coachbuilt Lancia, the car absolutely deserves to be returned to its former glory. Find it here on eBay in Berkley, Michigan with no reserve beyond an unmet $2,500 starting bid.
Original Owner w/ Full Records: 1986 Peugeot 505 Turbo
This 1986 Peugeot 505 Turbo (VIN VF3BA71Z2GS398831) is on offer by its original owner, who claims near full functionality apart from inop side mirrors–this includes factory A/C, power windows, sunroof, heated seats, electric antenna and more. Mileage is given as 136k and change, verifiable with full service records. A brief demo video shows the car starting easily and driving well, and both interior and exterior cosmetics appear to be unusually well-preserved. Find it here on eBay in Plano, Texas with reserve not met.
